The Star Inn - Mega Mixed Grill

Overall Score: 17/25
Mega Mixed Grill

Taste of the Meal (8/10): ★★★★★★★★☆☆

Good sausage in egg dippibility. Both eggs fried great and sausages are brilliant quality. Steak is cooked well and can't go wrong with button mushrooms. Onion rings are a nice addition too. Steak was decent and gammon steak was really good. Chicken breast was good as well which is rare for a mixed grill. Good quality food and came away full.

Peppercorn Sauce (2/5): ★★☆☆☆

Standard peppercorn sauce and really not enough for even a single steak.

Vibe of the Pub (4/5): ★★★★☆

Comfy and good old fashioned pub feel. Good beer garden and tables have plenty of room. Could do with a better selection of lager.

Price Value (3/5): ★★★☆☆

21.79 for the grill which is a lot but fine for the amount of food. £2 for such a small amount of peppercorn sauce cannot be overlooked however.

The Eli Jenkins - Mega Mixed Grill

Overall Score: 16/25
Mega Mixed Grill

Taste of the Meal (5/10): ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆

Good sausage in egg dippibility. Egg is perfectly runny and sausages are good quality. Steak is tough but chicken breast is grilled well. Chips are underdone but the mushroom is a nice addition. Gammon is a bit too well cooked and tough in many places. Could overall do with a bit more food.

Peppercorn Sauce (4/5): ★★★★☆

Decent peppercorn sauce and a good amount, filling high up the jug. Perhaps too little if you're looking for some good chip coverage on top.

Vibe of the Pub (3/5): ★★★☆☆

Nice place for a pint and football but a bit hectic and uncomfortable for a sit down meal. Tables can be quite cramped into the small space, staff are nice and good selection of lager though.

Price Value (4/5): ★★★★☆

Good price for Cardiff Bay and a good amount of food to go with it
